ok boys and girls, it's time for another round! today i will tell you about a very talented hardcore band from luxembourg, Everwaiting Serenade (http://www.myspace.com/everwaitingserenade)! the quintet is one of the most promising outfits hailing from our little country. since their foundation in 2005, these dudes have been one of the most active bands in the scene releasing their debut ep "Caress" already in 2006. playing in different bands before like hot buddha, m.d.e or disciplez of cypher and therefore coming from different backgrounds, they soon shared same ideas concerning their sound. on their debut they played metalcore including some clean vocals in the vein of bands like parkway drive. "Caress" was a good album, but it seemed, that there was more to come.

so in the year 2008 they released a self-produced demo "The Next Weekend Revolution" including 3 songs, on which you could cleary see in what direction these guys were heading. they turned away from the popular metalcore sound and evolved with their music. what brings us to this day. a few days ago Everwaiting Serenade released their first full-length "Lungwork". and that album is truly amazing! it seems like they have finally found their own sound with this album. the fundament is still built upon metalcore, but they included at the same time more chaotic, intense and atmospheric parts. they got rid of the clean vocals and showed us their interpretation of melodic hardcore. the bands that influenced them are really shining through "Lungwork", because you can hear a lot of Misery Signals and Everytime I Die in the songs. they described their philosophy with the following words: "We strive for what's in our hearts"!

a very auspicious album from a very talented band, which you totally have to check out and i you have the chance to catch them live, go to the show!
